Checkups & Cleaning

A standard dental checkup consists of two main parts: a cleaning and an oral exam. These procedures are the two best preventative measures for catching trouble early on such as gum disease and tooth decay before they become real problems.

No matter how well you brush there are areas that are just plain difficult to reach. Our competent hygienists will give you a thorough cleaning  before our doctors see you for your oral exam.

“My oral hygienist is an artist with her dental tools. I appreciate her service and professionalism.”  ~John B.

Nightguards For Teeth Grinding

Bruxism is the word for unconsciously grinding your teeth at night. Grinding your teeth at night will severely wear down your teeth and eventually cause them to break and fracture.

One way to treat bruxism is with a nightguard. A nightguard is small mouthpiece you wear to bed every night, which provides a protective barrier between your teeth. Your nightguard is custom made for you so that it is both effective and comfortable. Inform your dentist at your next checkup if you’re concerned about bruxism.

Oral Cancer Screenings

As part of your regular checkup, the doctors include an oral cancer screening. Early detection, for any cancer, is the best approach to treatment. Our doctors will check your mouth, throat, cheeks, and neck for any signs of the condition and will advise you on what to do if they find any cause for concern.

Fluoride Treatments

Fluoride is important in building and restoring tooth enamel. Tooth enamel is critical in fighting cavities and tooth decay.

At your checkup your hygienist can answer any questions you may have regarding fluoride.

Toothpastes & Mouthwashes

The options for toothpaste and mouthwash are vast. When they all claim to be the best, how do you know which one is best for you?

Our doctors and hygienists are here to educate you on how best to take care of your mouth at home and help you make informed decisions when it comes to the products you use.
