teeth in one day
Below you’ll find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
A dental implant is a permanent way to replace one or all of your teeth. Dental implants look, feel, and function like natural teeth!
Three main parts make up a dental implant: the titanium screw, the abutment, and the crown. The screw is placed into your jaw bone, the abutment is attached to the screw, and the crown is the tooth that is secured to the abutment. When bone and implant fuse together, this becomes the sturdy foundation for your new teeth.
With the titanium screw implanted into your jaw bone, it effectively becomes your new tooth root. Having a ‘root’ in your bone encourages healthy bone growth, which in turn results in a more youthful appearance.

The All-on-4® Dental Implant Treatment Solution is a specialized dental implant procedure where, with as few as four implants, our doctors can replace an entire arch of teeth.
All-on-4® is possible due to the precise angles the implants are placed. This angled approach also allows our doctors to be able to perform this procedure on patients who have previously been told they weren’t candidates.
With only four implants, your surgery is shorter and less invasive, and your recovery time is minimized. AND! You leave the same day with a stunning new smile, called Teeth in One Day.

Teeth-in-a-Day means you walk in with your old or missing teeth and leave the same day of surgery with brand new teeth.
Because of the way the All-on-4® procedure is accomplished, it is possible to attach new teeth the same day.
Some dentists will attach a final set right at surgery, but at 4M Dental Implant Center we see the importance and value of allowing your body to heal, swelling to subside, and most importantly giving the implants and your bone time to integrate.
That’s why we give you two sets of hybrids. The first is a healing or temporary set, the second are your finals. All of this is included in the quote you receive at your consultation.
Your temporaries are nearly indistinguishable from your finals. Another reason for the two sets, is you never really know how you’re going to feel about your teeth once you see them in and in action. The temporary pair are like test driving a car. During the healing period, 4 – 6 months, you’ll learn what you like or don’t like about them. You’ll have ample opportunity to let us know exactly how you want your finals to look.
Anyone who is missing one or more teeth due to injury, disease, tooth decay, genetics, or any other reason may be a candidate for dental implants.
Having enough healthy bone to support implants is a key factor.
The All-on-4® Dental Implant Treatment Solution is a revolutionary procedure in which we maximize available bone with as few as four strategically placed implants.
Even with preexisting conditions such as diabetes or long term smoking, which can affect bone density, you’re not precluded from being a candidate.
If you’ve been told in the past that you weren’t a candidate for dental implants, come in to All Bright Dental for a FREE consultation and see what we can do for you!

Osseointegration is the fusing of bone with the implant. As your body heals, the bone grows around and “locks” with the implant creating a strong, sturdy foundation for your new teeth.
Combined, Dr. Sean and Dr. Polena have been placing dental implants for over 30 years. With thousands of implants placed they began taking on more and more complex cases.
Now they are considered authorities on the All-on-4® Dental Implant Treatment Solution.
Dr. Sean opened 4M Institute, a post graduate training facility where he teaches other dentists All-on-4® and Dr. Polena has been trained under him.
When we talk about a hybrid, we are referring to the ‘gums and teeth’ that are attached to your jaw bone.
In All-on-4® we attach a hybrid to your four implants.
Until recently, the best way to ensure strength in a hybrid was to mill a titanium bar inside.
But we would still have patients again and again breaking their hybrids.
The problem is, metal (titanium) and stone (zirconia) don’t give, they don’t flex, they don’t budge. This causes great strain, stress, and pressure on your implants and jaw, often leading to a broken hybrid or even implant failure.
Imagine metal and stone hitting repeatedly together again and again. It would be jarring and very uncomfortable.
We’ve resolved this by eliminating the use of metal bars for ZIRPEEK®.
ZIRPEEK® is a unique combination of materials that produce a strong, beautiful, and comfortable hybrid.
ZIRPEEK® is a dental implant arch – or the hybrid. This is the “gums and teeth'” that replace your old teeth.
ZIRPEEK® is a unique combination of materials that produces a strong, beautiful, and functional hybrid. Instead of a metal bar, ZIRPEEK’s substructure is made of PEEK, a polymer with qualities very similar to bone. Like bone, PEEK has a slight give and flex. So when you bite and chew it moves with your jawbone naturally. This means a much more comfortable experience for you and much less stress on your implants.
Another benefit of PEEK is it acts as a shock absorber, dispersing pressure and eliminating the jarring sensation you would feel with a metal bar.
ZIRPEEK® is the next best thing to real teeth.
We work with you and do everything we can to get you the treatment you want.
The majority of patients finance their dental implant procedure and we offer multiple financing options. Sometimes the assistance of a family member or friend is utilized to help out if your credit is less than ideal.
We accept many kinds of insurance, however, most insurance doesn’t cover implants. A few do, and we will maximize any insurance we can.

For an All-on-4® procedure, expect to be at the office all day. The surgery itself takes only a few hours, but you’ll spend some time sleeping off the anesthesia.
Allowing your jawbone and implants to heal is imperative to a successful implant procedure.
It takes a person usually 4 to 6 months for the fusing of both to fully take effect.
During the procedure you are asleep and won’t feel anything.
You will have received prescriptions for pain medication before your surgery. Taking them as prescribed and BEFORE you start to feel any pain is a good way to keep yourself comfortable while you’re healing.
Bruising and swelling are common, but the severity of each varies from person to person. Afterward many of our patients have reported that they were much more comfortable than they expected to be.
